Currently in the studio collaborating on his first album project with Mega-producer, Serial-Fixer, and Super-DJ Chew Fu (Lady Gaga/Rihanna) with whom he shares a birthday, singer/songwriter/performance-artist Breedlove is poised to take the music industry by sonic storm with his “Future-Perfect,” Electro-Elton John meets Meatloaf, pop stylings. Breedlove & Chew Fu’s first single entitled “I NEVER HAD” served the dual role of both introducing Breedlove’s album project to the masses, while simultaneously anchoring Chew Fu’s own album project entitled Chew Fu And…Now with their second single entitled New York City Rooftop the duo is ready for their closeup.
For the last two years, Breedlove produced and starred in a popular weekly party and show called Magic Monday, which got its start at the infamous Rivington Street rock ‘n roll dive bar St. Jerome’s, before recently having grown into it’s new home at Tammany Hall. No stranger to the stage, Breedlove was born the in San Francisco Bay Area to parents who are cabaret singers/actors and raised between California & “the road.” Breedlove began joining his parents on stage at age 3 and moved to New York to attend college for theatre and worked at Henri Bendel department store where he met Lady Starlight, a DJ and performance artist best known as frequent collaborator and opening act for Lady Gaga. It was Starlight who gave Breedlove his name, helped him develop his unique sense of style which he describes as “Dress to Depress.” More importantly, Starlight put Breedlove on a strict diet of classic rock and gave him his first opportunities to perform in NYC as a go-go dancer at her parties.
In 2010, Breedlove was invited by another of Gaga’s opening acts, Semi Precious Weapons, to put together a live performance of the theatrical pop music he was secretly composing and recording, with the goal of opening for them on their two 14-city headlining tours of North America and Europe. The tours were scheduled between Gaga’s Monster Ball dates.
In 2011 Breedlove appeared with Lady Starlight, Semi Precious Weapons, and their friend Darian Darling in Gaga’s HBO special and in her promos for the VMAs. Following the tours, Breedlove was introduced to Chew Fu and ever since the two have been sonically inseparable, with the fruits of their labor literally poised breed love.
